I haven’t posted in a while because I was on holiday. Get over it.
Although before I went on holiday, where there was NO WiFi (a.k.a: a fangirl’s worst nightmare), I did manage to catch most of the San Diego Comic Con interviews and panels on Season 10 and I got super excited about it all. There’s so much potential this year and I think it’s going to be great.
So, in case you haven’t seen it, Here is the Link for the Exclusive Clip from episode 3 of the new season.
There is also a Gag Reel Video but it is lacking in quality (because, let’s face it, it is extremely hard for all the wonderful people who film these panels for us, to not get thrown out of the venue. Shout out to all those filmers out there! You’re awesome.) I think it’s best to wait for the full gag reel anyway (which, I think, is released with the Season 9 boxset in September some time) because it’s undoubtedly going to be hilarious and it’s worth the wait.
Going back to the Season 10 clip…I am planning to write an article analysing it or something because it is a very interesting clip. The dynamics between Sam and Dean are so clear and it’s only a one minute video. I am also incredibly blown away at the fact that Jensen managed to direct whilst playing a completely new character who had already been developed by two episodes which they hadn’t filmed yet. Jensen had speculated on how difficult it was and how much homework he had to do but I still take my hat off to him!
I will not compile a list of links to videos of the Comic Con Panel, interviews and spoilers that I have hunted down:
The Supernatural Panel at ComicCon (Hall H):
Highlights include Jensen discussing the challenges of directing, the physical demands that come with fight scenes, Castiel’s weak state in Season 10, the new generation of fans, the show’s long-running status, the musical-ish episode in the new season, Dean’s bromances and friendships, the character’s bucket lists and dating profiles and how their beliefs have changed since being on the show.)
Full NerdHQ Panel (with Jensen, Jared, Misha and Mark)
Aisha Tyler presents as the boys discuss Misha’s online scavenger hunt, their favourite villain of the series, the strangest fanart they have ever received, if Sam and Cas ever swapped bodies (with role-play), paying the fans to give complements and they end up throwing sweets into the audience.
Jensen Ackles on Juggling Acting and Directing and Jensen and Jared Padalecki talking about letting the characters go after playing them for so long and the benefits of having each other to work with.
